okay here we go back to world of internet!
I recently read about how companies around the world are restricting the employees from accessing zillions of the sites.
but i ask WHY?
people tend to work 24/7…okay not in office..but at home..on laptops while traveling…and on the master BlackBerry’s!
so why on earth restrict internet usage?
how does it help at all?
cant the employees have a time for there own?
does making them work 24/7 increase your companies efficiencies? or does it account for the inefficiencies?
i will go with the latter!
In ma work place there is no restriction what so ever!
but what made me think about it?…well many of friends go through it..in something called the IT industry…
and i see it as just bullshit!
when you talk about productivity and profit and all that high end words…why make the employees a scrape animal?
all i have to say is that in this 24/7 work culture let the employees have there share of fun! there share of privacy!
by restricting mail servers and social networking sites such as facebook, orkut, HI5, friendster..there are a zillion of those …you are cutting them off!
for many its the only mean of keeping i touch at the cheapest way possible! infact a real good stress breaker!
with the world heading forward at sonic speed why is that companies tend to think different only on this policy??
